Goodwill Journey 7

Ooredoo, Oman’s customer friendly communications provider, is gearing up for its annual Goodwill Journey which will once again see a team of volunteers from the company travelling the length and breadth of the country to give meaningful donations and share time with the needy during Ramadan. This initiative began seven years ago and is a cornerstone of this caring company’s corporate social responsibility programme.

Every year, more than five thousand kilometres are travelled by the Ooredoo convoy as a wide variety of items are presented to charitable institutions in order to brighten and improve the daily lives of those less fortunate in society. Ooredoo Goodwill Journey takes place during the Holy Month of Ramadan when fasting volunteers willingly give up the time that they would normally be spending with their own families at this special point in the year.

Ooredoo not only gives electronic and electrical items or cars and buildings to help people in many remote locations, but also takes time to listen to the needs and duties of the different charities in order to better understand their requirements. Playing with children and entertaining them with games and activities is also an important component of the Ooredoo Goodwill Journey.
