Ooredoo reinforced its commitment to developing future-ready national talent at the Oman Career Summit 2026, organised by Career180 in partnership with Interface under the Masarat initiative at JW Marriott Muscat. On 5 October, Said Al Mawali, Director of Marketing at Ooredoo, joined the panel discussion, ‘The Future of Marketing: Skills, AI & the New Marketer’, exploring how artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping the marketing industry and the skills young professionals need to succeed in an increasingly digital economy.
Said Al Mawali, Director of Marketing at Ooredoo, said: “AI has given us unprecedented clarity into customer preferences and engagement patterns, but understanding the human motivation behind those choices remains the marketer’s core role. That is why the most valuable skill for a young marketer today is the ability to turn data into a story people can feel. Tools can be learned in weeks, but understanding people is what gives both technology and creativity their value.”
Addressing university students, fresh graduates, job seekers and HR professionals, Al Mawali highlighted how AI is transforming marketing decisions. Marketers are moving from broad audience segments towards individual customer needs, from analysing past behaviour to anticipating what comes next, and from lengthy decision-making cycles to campaigns that can be tested, refined and optimised in real time. Today, a single campaign can launch in multiple versions, tailored to different audiences and measured from its earliest stages.
Al Mawali also encouraged aspiring marketers to put customer understanding at the heart of their development, supported by strong data literacy, creativity and the responsible use of AI. He highlighted the importance of testing and comparing messages, using AI tools to accelerate content development, and ensuring technology strengthens rather than replaces a brand’s distinct voice. At Ooredoo, this customer-first approach continues to shape digital experiences and everyday improvements, from WhatsApp customer support and ongoing app enhancements to integration with the Theqa platform.
Ooredoo’s participation in the Oman Career Summit 2026 reflects its wider commitment to empowering Omani talent with the skills required for the country’s evolving digital economy.
