Ooredoo turns inclusion into action this Omani Youth Day. The telco has signed an MoU with Vertex Business Solutions SPC to open new career pathways for Oman’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) youth.
The partnership supports the Qadiroon Initiative: a pioneering national programme that helps DHH jobseekers build skills and access meaningful career opportunities. Qadiroon bridges the gap between capability and opportunity, using innovative visual-based learning and tailored training to help participants turn their talents into real career paths. From arts and writing to digital skills, it’s inclusion in action, giving every voice the chance to be heard.
This collaboration marks one of the first structured private-sector partnerships dedicated to empowering the DHH community in Oman. It also builds on Ooredoo’s ongoing support for inclusion. Through its digital sign-language customer service centre, the company provides an accessible way for clients with hearing disabilities to communicate directly with Ooredoo’s team in sign language via video calls.
The newly signed partnership with Vertex reflects Ooredoo’s commitment to empowering Omani youth and empowering every community, all part of its long-term mission to enrich lives and build a more diverse Oman for generations to come.
