Muscat, Oman
Ooredoo has launched the third phase of their 2025 Goodwill Journey, its flagship CSR initiative. The nationwide initiative is dedicated to uplifting and empowering communities across the Sultanate. Departing from Muscat on 29 September, the Goodwill Journey will deliver sustainable support, innovation, and inspiration to towns and villages, particularly in remote and rural areas.
The journey begins in Wilayat Al Amerat, where Ooredoo will introduce Save & Sustain Green Ambassador programme, providing recycling in schools, encouraging students to embrace sustainable practices and build a culture of environmental responsibility. The convoy will then proceed to the Omani Women’s Association in Bahla to launch the Home Hydroponic Farming Project; which won first place at the 7th Ooredoo Omani Women’s Forum last year.
In the evening, the volunteers will visit Nizwa Souq to support a low-income family. The members will purchase their products and promote them to visitors and tourists, helping to showcase and market the family’s work and strengthen their economic empowerment.
In Nizwa a visit to Al Wafa Center for Rehabilitation of People with Disabilities will see the team donating prosthetic devices to support daily life. There will also be a revisit of the sensory room established during the pandemic. The final stop will be in Wilayat Ibra, where, in cooperation with the Governor’s office, Ooredoo will provide innovative drones for environmental applications, strengthening local capacity in monitoring and protection.
Now in its 21st year, the Ooredoo Goodwill Journey has become a symbol of community care, sustainability, and long-term empowerment, and reflects the company’s belief that real progress happens when people and communities thrive together.
