Ooredoo brought together 100 of Oman’s brightest tech talents as sponsor of the Mulhim Generative AI Hackathon. Held on 29 October, at Al Shafaq Club, the event united experts from telecommunications, military, and tech sectors in a high-energy competition that showcased Oman’s rising strength in artificial intelligence.

Khawla Al Amri, Acting Chief Corporate Services Officer at Ooredoo stated, “The Mulhim Hackathon reflects how Ooredoo empowers Omani youth to shape the nation’s digital future. By creating platforms that inspire collaboration and build AI skills, we’re driving progress toward Vision 2040’s innovation-led goals.”

In partnership with the Military Studies Academy, Code Academy, National Bank of Oman and Petroleum Development Oman, the Hackathon challenged 25 elite teams to design real-world AI solutions. The competition focused on cybersecurity, customer service and learning applications, giving young innovators the chance to develop products and services that could upgrade customer experiences. It also created pathways for recruitable talent supporting Oman’s digital transformation.

Accelerating AI innovation within Oman, Ooredoo’s sponsorship of the Hackathon helps lay the foundation for smarter, more responsive services and future-ready digital experiences.
