Ooredoo has launched a Breast Cancer awareness campaign, featuring free on-site mammogram screenings and health awareness sessions for employees. Aligning with Breast Cancer awareness month, the initiative forms part of the company’s ongoing commitment to health and wellbeing, and highlighting the importance of early detection for women across Oman.
Organised in collaboration with the Oman Cancer Association, a mobile mammogram unit was stationed at Ooredoo’s headquarters for two days. The service provided female employees with convenient access to preventive screening, removing barriers such as time and accessibility.
To further encourage awareness, Ooredoo has teamed up with Burjeel Hospital to deliver a health talk focused on prevention, lifestyle and early signs, empowering women with knowledge to take charge of their wellbeing.
Beyond the workplace, Ooredoo will also participate in the Oman Cancer Association’s annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walkathon on 6 November at Qurum Park, standing in solidarity with those affected and spreading a message of hope and mindfulness.
Throughout October, Ooredoo will also share messages across its social media platforms and through SMS reminders, encouraging regular check-ups and healthier lifestyle habits.
By increasing knowledge and understanding, and making health more accessible, Ooredoo is helping to build a more informed, caring, and resilient community. These efforts are part of a positive, lasting change in how people across Oman approach health and wellness, because when it comes to health, every check-up counts.
