How to join the New Hala service?

New customers wishing to join the New Hala Plans may either place an order for their new SIM through our digital channels such as our App and website or visit our large range of outlets across Oman such as Ooredoo stores and certified dealers. What are Hala Plans?

Our Hala Plans are the perfect mix of flexibility, great value, simplicity and most of all, convenience. You can now subscribe to a plan that offers data and voice or add-on, change it, track your usage, recharge your balance and do lots more, anytime, anywhere, through one platform; the Ooredoo App. To enroll on our Hala Plans, please visit the portal: https://shop.ooredoo.om/prepaid-plan-page

How can I check my Hala credit balance?

You can check your credit balance through the following channels:

  • Ooredoo App: Main page
  • By dialling *102#
  • Customer Service: By dialing the number 1500 and following the instructions

How long is my Hala number valid for?

The validity period is 6 months (5 months active/150 days), 1 month grace period (30 days), from the date of your last recharge. Every time you recharge, the validity is extended.

What happens if I do not recharge my Hala number after completing the 6 month validity period?

If you do not recharge in this period, then your number will be terminated and all your remaining credit will be forfeited. You will have 3 months to reactivate your number through our Ooredoo store, for OMR 2 (+VAT 5%).

How I can add the Roaming service?

The GCC Roaming service works automatically with Hala Plans. If you are looking for a world roaming service, either:

  • Use the Ooredoo App and select Roaming Add-On.
  • Dial *555*501#

How can I send credit from my account to another account?

You can transfer credit using the following channels:

  • Ooredoo App: from the options, click on ‘Financial Services’ and then ‘Local Credit Transfer’ or ‘International Credit Transfer’.
  • USSD Menu: By dialling the code *222# and following the instructions.

How can I reset my transfer credit password?

You can reset your transfer credit password using the following channel:

How many Hala mobile numbers can I have registered under my ID?

Omani & GCC nationals can have up to 10 active Prepaid mobile numbers. Omani Resident Card holders can have up to 5 active Prepaid mobile numbers.

When does Data Rollover apply in Hala Plans?

Data rollover is applicable on Hala+ Plans that are valid for 4 weeks. You will get to transfer your unused data from a previous subscription on successful renewals and/or plan upgrades.

Can I use my Hala Plans in GCC while roaming?

Yes you can take your Hala+ Plans with you when travelling to GCC destinations:

  • Applicable on open data and voice minutes of OMR 10 and above plans only.
  • Fair usage policy is applied on voice while roaming (15 minutes daily and 30 minutes monthly).
  • The minutes include making calls within the destination you are visiting, calling back to Oman, and receiving calls. However, it does not include international calls.
