Device Insurance

Product description

Ooredoo offer an insurance policy for new devices sold at Ooredoo stores.

Peace of mind protection for your new device in case of unexpected damage.

The insurance covers accidental damage of insured devices, such as:

  • Damage caused by drops or impact
  • Sand damage
  • Liquid damage
  • Damage caused by humidity or moisture
  • Damage caused by abrasion
  • Damage due to robbery or burglary. Theft or loss insurance is not covered.*

  • 12 month policy OMR 36
  • 24 month policy OMR 72
  • Important Information: All prices are inclusive of 5% VAT.
  • Maximum number of claims: if the device is repaired twice or replaced once, then the policy certificate will be terminated.
  • 10% of repair cost or the replacement device value.
  • Maximum claims = value of device
  • Number of claims:
    • 2 repairs
    • 1 repair and 1 replacement
    • 1 replacement per policy

For claims, please contact 22826761 or by email at within a maximum period of five (5) working days from the date of the accidental damage.

  • Items insured: Brand new devices.
  • Brand: Multibrands except for fold devices.
  • Geographical scope: Oman and UAE, but the claim can only be reported in Oman.
  • Authorised service centre: MISTORE & BELTELL.
  • Covered risk: Accidental damage.
  • The insurance is to be purchased at the same time as the device.
  • Policy duration is either 12 or 24 months.
  • Insurance cannot be transferred to the subsequent owner of the device.
  • Insurance is not renewable or transferable.
  • Accessories, software, headphones and chargers are not covered.
  • If a device has been replaced under warranty under Accidental Damage Insurance, the Policy Certificate will be transferred to the new device, subject to sharing the incident and the new device information
  • The total amount of repairs and/or replacement should not exceed the original purchase price of the insured device.
  • Any coverage included in the warranty shall always be triggered first.
  • Device data not covered. The customer should backup all data before handing the device to the service centre.
  • Repaired devices will void the manufacturer’s warranty.
  • The service centre provides a 30 day warranty for repaired items.
